Mobile Phone Deals This January
Having looked through lots of the mobile phone deals on offer coming into January 2009, one thing is clear. People are becoming more concerned with inclusive call minutes or inclusive texts. Many of the mobile operators and in turn the third party resellers are putting packages together than offer in excess of 1000 free inclusive call minutes or texts, for a small monthly free. Much more than most people will ever need. However, if you’re looking for a higher quality handset, the monthly costs appear to be either much higher or the inclusive minutes and text messages are a lot less. I guess this is to offset the higher production / manufacturers cost for the handset itself. All of the mobile phone contracts on the lesser handsets and inclusive minutes appear to be for 12 months where as if you’re looking to purchase a better quality of phone or would like more inclusive offers - you’re going to be tied into a 24 month contract.
I have also been looking at the mobile broadband contracts out there which for the most part have come down in cost greatly when compared to last year. I guess more and more people are taking them out and more and more networks are competing for the business which is driving the price down.
